Day 85 - 25 March 2012
Sunset was even more unbelievable. The cranes roost in the Platte River at night and leave around sunrise to go to the fields where they eat the corn that was left after harvesting. These birds stay in this area for about 4 weeks before heading north and gain about 30% of their body fat to make the trip north. These cranes are about 36 inches tall and weigh 7 pounds. I have NEVER seen so many birds in the sky at one time. It was well worth the trip.
Day 84 - 24 March 2012
We got out of town this weekend and went to Nebraska to see the Sand Hill Cranes as they migrate north. It was a unbelievable sunset with the colors of the sky and the shear amount of cranes that were in the air tonight.

Day 83 - 23 March 2012
It must finally be Spring. The Spring Flowers are starting to show their beautiful blooms!
Day 82 - 22 March 2012
The neighbor is getting ready to replace the wooden privacy fence. Thought I better try and capture some of the rustic nature of the fence before it is gone.
Day 81 - 21 March 2012
Saw these interesting flowers after work today. Not only to the blooms resemble bells but the groups of blooms also look a bell.
Day 80 - 20 March 2012
Found enough break in the rain showers today to get a photo of my wife's favorite flowers in bloom.
